2025 Graduate: Sarina Bhargava

Sarina Bhargava ’25 has always felt her voice is her most powerful tool. She decided to attend law school to learn how to use that tool to help others.
Three years at UConn Law taught Bhargava that she, like everyone else, belongs in the legal profession, regardless of how they identify and how different everyone may be from each other.
"There’s room for all of us, regardless of how we identify and how different we may all be from each other,” she says.
Bhargava had heard horror stories of how competitive law school can be, but she was pleasantly surprised to find how friendly everyone was.
Bhargava attended UConn for undergrad and obtained her bachelor’s degree in finance. During her time at UConn Law, Bhargava served as the secretary of both the South Asian Law Students Association and the Business and Transactional Law Society. She was also the Administrative Editor for the Connecticut Journal of International Law and a research assistant to Professor Jessica de Perio Wittman. Her favorite memory is attending the Barrister’s Ball.
Bhargava gained legal experience by completing field placements with United States District Court Judge S. Dave Vatti ’92, as well as at Allied World in Farmington. After graduation, she will be working as an associate at Robinson & Cole LLP in Hartford.
“Take the time to go to networking events,” she advises UConn Law students. "The bar is small, and your career is long. The more people you know, the more doors you open!”
