2025 Graduate: Elinor Schneider

While Elinor Schneider ’25 was working at a digital media company in New York, she realized she was more interested in the contracts crossing her desk and the legal and business aspects of the company. That was when the thought she’d previously had about being a lawyer turned into a desire to attend law school.
Schneider graduated from Colgate University with a major in History and a minor in English.
“At UConn Law, I have had some of the happiest and most fulfilling years of my life,” Schneider says. “UConn Law offers an unparalleled opportunity to build a community – both personal and professional – while developing into the kind of person, and lawyer, you want to be.”
From the moment she stepped foot on campus, she felt comfortable stepping outside of her comfort zone. “UConn Law is a place where everyone, despite varied interests and goals, has the opportunity to carve their own path.”
During her time at UConn Law, Schneider served as the Lead Notes and Comments Editor for the Connecticut Law Review and as the Vice President of the Negotiation and Dispute Resolution Society. She was also a teaching assistant for the Contracts and Business Organizations class, as well as a research assistant for Professor Michael Fischl.
Schneider’s favorite memories are watching the UConn basketball teams win championships three years in a row and seeing friendly faces on UConn Law’s beautiful campus.
After graduation, she will be joining Proskauer Rose LLP in Boston as an associate in their Private Credit Group.
